Spain is wanting Venezuela to explain their selves after they supposedly helped rebel groups who wanted to kill Colombia president, Alvaro Uribe. The Spanish prime minister said Madrid would "act in accordance with that explanation". A Spanish judge charged a total of 13 members of rebel groups who were out to kill Alvaro Uribe. Monday a Spanish judge said an investigation in 2008 led to evidence of Venezuela coorporating with rebel groups; Farc and Eta. The judges says the two have been working together from 1993, and he believes they wanted to kill Colombian officials. The judge charge Fontan with conspiracy to commit terrorist murders. While investigating he found out that Farc planned to travel to Spain to kill Uribe. A Farc member said, "It would be easy with the help of Eta". They had a target list which grew and eventually included Uribe. It is said that both Farc and Eta are "rooted" for in "left-wing ideology".
I think this could cause further problems between various Hispanic countries. If they don't get their stuff straight and keep accusing everyone of things, even with proof, bad blood will begin to rise. They need to find a way to sort out this mess, and see what countries support each other if more problems to arise. Venezuela seems to be guilty here, but I don't think the author (not listed) wrote exactly to defend someone or stick up for someone. They seem to be doing it just to report. Hopefully, the problems between these countries get sorted so there won't be further issues and all is well.
